I felt a Frank Turner thread was necessary to create, as I believe he is the greatest singer-songwriter in music today. He is capable of making music that can be triumphant, happy, angry, reflective, contemplative and bittersweet and they can all usually be found on any of his albums. He is also an incredibly underrated lyricist. Songs like I Still Believe and Photosynthesis are calls to arms for generations of the past, present and future, songs like Rivers and English Curse are classic pieces of English poetry, whereas Broken Piano and Plain Sailing Weather are melancholic pieces of his own life. He is also a really nice person in real life which is rare for a rock-star to be these days. And he always puts on an amazing live show. I'm going to see him in February, and I cannot wait!
I really don't like his music at all, but he camped behind us as Bestival one year and he did seem like a lovely person, so I can attest to that part of the OP.
i know he has been touring with Lucero in Europe recently. Lucero came back to the states and forgot to bring frank with them. that wouldve been a show i couldnt miss
