I was totally unaware of this, but the Flaming Lips wrote what will apparently be the theme song to the upcoming Ender's Game movie. Rolling with it, they turned it into a full-fledged six-song EP (or five song, on some versions) of songs inspired by the original novel. Anyone else heard this? Thoughts?
(perhaps I should specify, thoughts on the EP. Let's keep this clear of comments on the author and his gazillion controversies)
Track listing for the EP is...
1: Peace Sword (Open Your Heart)
2: If They Move, Shoot 'Em
3: Is the Black at the End Good?
4: Think Like a Machine, Not a Boy
5: Wolf Children
6: Assassin Beetle (hidden track or something)

And I had to look up the controversies of course, I knew nothing about them. 😁 Anyway, dismissing and disregarding the author entirely, I think it's cool that Flaming Lips keep finding inspiration and keep releasing stuff with impressive speed. 😄

And that it keeps being good! If this weren't an EP, it would easily top my "Best of 2013" chart.
EDIT: It's over 20 minutes. It can totally go in my chart!
