Well I like both album covers.

Anyway, nothing against Is This It, but it's never clicked with me the way Surfer Rosa has. Easy.

Another really tough one for me. Both are just incredible, iconic debut albums in the history of rock. They have similar elements but very different personalities. "Surfer Rosa" is like a blow torch. It's pure white hot energy most of the way through. Really love it. Whereas "Is This It" still rocks but has more of a disillusioned feel to it. It's more a distant, discontented annoyance and it is far more emotionally affective to me than its competitor.

Anyway, both are brilliant. But "Is This It" wins this somewhat solidly. If this were an American football score it would be 34 to 24, Strokes.
