Hi there.
So I figured I should stop in and say hello. I've just recently joined BEA, though I've been familiar with the website for a long time now. I've always been looking for "best of" lists, whether it's all time, decade, or year, and this website had everything I could've wanted. The other day I thought to myself, "Why don't I join?" and after perusing the forums and stuff, this place seemed pretty cool, so I thought I'd join. Looks like a great place. I can't wait to make more lists, I just finished my "greatest ever" list, which was incredibly difficult and will probably change constantly, and I hope to participate here in the forums, talking about my favorite thing: music.
As for more about me: I'm 22, I play guitar, and I am obsessive over music. I've always joked that I aim to have a library of music bigger than the Library of Congress. I like virtually every genre of music you can think of (except for modern country. Just can't get into that) and am always looking for new music and new things to listen to. I review albums on a blog of mine and hope to one day have a career in something similar to that.
I look forward to being a part of this awesome site

I assume you mean the GAC/CMT pop-country trend that's been circulating since the late 1980s? I think I could help you with modern country if your up for it.

Essentially. What the band Alabama started is basically what I can't really get into. The Toby Keith's, the Keith Urban's, the Eric Church's. Not that I have something against them, I've just never really been able to get into the music. I like older country, I'm a big fan of Willie Nelson, Merle Haggard and Waylon Jennings, and I love bluegrass too, but I've never been able to get into the pop country.

Why the hell haven't I listened to a Willie Nelson album yet? Am I too much of a dadrocker? Anyway, welcome to the site, and please PM me if you have any recommendations.

Try Hank Williams, III's album Straight to hell. Best Outlaw country out there.
