I fucking love this album so sooooo hard.

Whenever I hear that beautiful guitar riff on "Title and Registration" I'm automatically transported to a happier, earlier time in my life.

This one's for you, Gracie. I love you, and I always will.

Cue, crying...

YES YES YES YES YES!!!! This was my most favorite album of all time for so long. Death Cab for Cutie is still my favorite band. Ugh. Each song on this album ranges from great to masterful. Songs I initially disliked ("Lightness," "Tiny Vessels," and "Death of an Interior Decorator") are now amazing to me. Songs I initially loved ("The New Year", "Title and Registration", and the title track – though not "Title Track") I've loved even more. This is a very personal album to me, but it's also just one kickass song after another.

Amazing album. Perfect production. Near flawless songwriting. This is an emotional juggernaut that is both devastating and life-affirming in the same vein. It's one of those things that is just a smidge shy of being unquestionably perfect. Still love it either way.

Yeah I love this album as well. Title And Registration-Expo '86-The Sound Of Settling is an absolutely killer back to back to back. Not to take away from the rest of the album, it's all great.

Indie rock concept album... that's good enough for me to try once I get back from work, and it'll help fill my 2000's chart.
Question: Who else thinks "The Secret of NIMH" when they see that cover?
