It sounds like I'm starting tomorrow, just wanted to post an introduction to primarily know that I'm doing this right. So I work in a kitchen and I'm going to school so I'll keep this updated as much as I can. Kitchen music is not always my pick but I'll record it anyway for laughs. Just a heads up, I've been really into John Frusciante lately so if it's redundant I'll apologize now. Anyway, I'm gonna have some fun with this, stay tuned!

John Frusciante - Shadows Collide With People, 2004

Just woke up, started listening to this at 10:19 A.M. This is the shit, I need to start this day with. I feel like a lot of these songs are cleansing my mind. Honestly, had a shitty night last night, so this album is doing alright with me.

If you haven't heard this album
For those who already like John Frusciante: Prolly heard it
For those who don't like John Frusciante: This the closest you gonna get, i think.
For those who've never heard John Frusciante: Start this one, see how long it is until you stop listening.

always liked Frusciante's solo work far better than the Red Hots (and I'm not a RHCP hater&.) I've only heard Niandra Lades & To record Only Water for Ten Days, both of which I really enjoyed when they came out Will have to check out Shadows Collide soon. thanks for the r3ec!

It's signature item is montreal style smoked meat, it a pizza place, bakery, full menu, bar/restaurant. we were actually on Diners, Drive-ins, and Dives this summer.

Sounds like my kind of place! I tend to love the joints featured on that show despite never having seen the actual show. Montreal style smoke meat sounds fucking fantastic! You'll have to cater the upcoming BEA get together!!!

A boy's got da right to dream. I've been watching a lot of Disney. Very Happy

The Flaming Lips - The Soft Bulletin, 1999

I've never listened to this one before, I started it at 11:50 A.M. It's gaining my interest. I think overall I'm just kinda sick of The Flaming Lips existing. But there is some pretty cool shit in this album. Wait a minute, are they on drugs?

The Mars Volta - Frances the Mute, 2005

Alright, I haven't listened to this in long enough and it's been on my mind. Five tracks all fill their purpose, not big on "The Widow" but everything else is kick ass. Great sophomore effort.

FAQ

Q: The Mars Volta? Isn't that just noise?
A: Yep.

Q: When is this song going to end?
A: Not for a while.

Q: How can you tell what he's saying?
A: I'm actually just kinda winging it.
