There's no one right way to make music. Some people can just improvise beautiful rhythms and melodies. Other people take a more calculated approach starting with one element be it a drum loop or repeated riff and layer and stack more parts until it sounds 'just right' to them. Just found this on youtube...apparently, the drummer got a hold of this and put it on youtube, I had no idea that it even existed.
This is a live performance from over 20 years ago of my band playing my album Standing Still (minus the opening track), with a few covers at the end. The bass player had a broken foot, so he sat through the whole show. This was recorded on a patio overlooking the Pacific Ocean in Rancho Palos Verdes, CA.
