All users can only add albums by adding them to some kind of chart (unless something's changed recently). So if you want to add an album that you don't want to keep on your all-time chart, add it to the chart and then, after you're done inputting the data, just delete it.

Yes that i had the same Problem when you want to add an artist or an album you must put it on a list. I would appreciate it if there was a function to add new album or Artists to The BEA Site.

Adding it to your chart and entering the data does add it, and the artist (if they're not already in there), to the BEA database.

it wouldn't be a 'best' album if it wasn't on a list

Hehe  Ok i only want to say that the function too add a new album without a list would be good or how do you add new album that come out.

I've made a custom chart called "Albums I've Added" to add albums that I don't have on my all-time charts.

If it's a new album it can be added to a year chart. Custom charts are also a good way of doing this

If the full release date can't be found, please do not enter January 1st. Doing so keeps the album from being properly flagged for needing the correct date.

Finding the correct release can sometimes be a strange ride. I just added a live Isis album and found 3 different "release" dates before I got to the original 2004 date. Sometimes it's just blind luck when you find the right date on a Google result.

Completely understood. If you can't find it, or have multiple options, just leave it blank. It will be further researched. But if you put in a false date, then no one will know to check it.
