I remember DBZ taking about a Bernie Sanders folk album. Seeing this as AotD makes me want to hear that.

Also, my Friends Rating for this on RYM is 2.95, so might this not be as much of a unanimous masterpiece among millennials as I assumed?

Anyway, the album's nice enough (not the Bernie album, The Band album. The Bernie album is magical.) but it doesn't do a whole lot for me as opposed to Music From Big Pink for which I have mad nostalgia and which I still think holds up well enough (better than this one anyway)

A truly great album. I remember when i managed to find one of the early vinyl releases of this thing in practically untouched condition. Certainly one of my favourite albums and, when considering big pink too, proof of the insane songwriting talent of this band

"Just grab your hat and take that ride!"

With the references to Lake Charles, LA I'm thinking more about the bad rain they are getting in southern Louisiana this month. Prayers to those who are facing extreme weather and flood warnings over there!
