A challenging listen, with a strange combination of otherworldly aesthetics and some catchy vocal lines. The energy in it can sometimes be overwhelming. Definitely worth listening (6/10), but not really loving it.

Favorites: Drum, Geronimo, Holy Moly

Spiritual and earthy, ‘Heavy Heavy’ is a nice development of the unique sound Young Fathers carve out for themselves.

Not much of a fan of this, but i see why others might like it

Great solid record and a beautiful discovery. It adds some fizz to the numbness of what has been this year (musically speaking) since now

Their 2018 album was my favorite of that year. This one is great but I don't think I like it as much. It's definitely more emotional and spiritual but not as fun. It will probably stay pretty high in 2023 at least and was my most anticipated album this year. My expectations were pretty high and filled pretty solidly on point I'd say.
