“Cacti” could use a touch up. The production has a certain sparseness to it. This makes instruments feel like there is a lot of space between them. This space also brings negative attention with the synths coming off as cheap. Even with its flaws, it remains a very easy listen. The basslines always keep the album in a solid groove. Melodies are smooth and bring the listener in. With refinement, its good bones could really show.
