Definitely a talented band but I mostly find the vocals annoying. Shame that Supermodel didn't make it onto this version of the album as it's a great song. Own My Mind and Dont' Wanna Sleep are good. But they're evened out by the awful Bla Bla Bla and Kool Kids. (Edited)
Recientemente vinieron a México y se habló mucho de ellos. Nunca estuve muy interesado en su música y la única referencia que tenía de Måneskin, antes de escuchar este álbum, era su éxito "Beggin". Así que, atraído por toda la atención que se le ha dado a esta banda en los últimos meses quise darle una oportunidad, ¡y Santa Petra La Callosa..!
El álbum es extremadamente genérico, repetitivo y tiene demasiadas canciones. Si bien, hay algunas que no están mal como "Timezone", "Supermodel" o "The Loneliest", la gran mayoría son canciones olvidables, con poca personalidad y lleno de clichés como "La fine" o "MammaMia" porque claro, son italianos y no hay nada más italiano que decir ¡Mammamia! o ya de plano, canciones insufribles como "Bla Bla Bla". Es que no m4m3n, que horrible está esa canción!!!
En fin, podría seguir hablando de todo lo que me parece mal de este álbum, pero no vale la pena seguir destrozandolo, simplemente no es para mí. (Edited)
“Rush!” sounds like if a clipart image of a rock star made an album. The lyricism is mostly "we’re rebel rock stars" or generic love songs. It lacks any depth beyond the surface level posturing. “Kool Kids” is the pit of this concept with an absolutely horrid chorus just repeating the hollow mantra. “Bla Bla Bla” is meant to be a tongue in cheek rebuttal to critics but it is delivered so feebly that it destroys itself. The instrumentation is lacking in any real personality, being a copied amalgamation of hard rock, glam, and 2000’s revival. The whole combination lacks the originals' strengths or a hybrid vigor. One noticeable feature of the album is the superior quality of the Italian tracks. While not mind blowing, they are better written and feel tighter. Perhaps the second language was creatively limiting or the English tracks were viewed as disposable. A poor showing through and through.
Terrible.
Fake as hell.
Useless.
