“Knower Forever” is an instrumental powerhouse. There is a wonderful habit of having the second half of songs turn into intense jazz jam sessions. It’s thrilling to see how skilled and rapid they get. The percussion in these songs is particularly incredible. “Do Hot Girls Like Chords” has a jagged guitar line that burrows itself into your ear. While instrumentally fantastic, the album struggles melodically. There is a lack of strong melodies to grab on to, making it feel like endless noodling at times. Artadi’s vocals are so light that they can get buried in the mix. The lyrics are also a mixed bag, with them sometimes being funny and other times near nonsense. An extremely well-played album that doesn’t reach its full potential. (Edited)
