I have to wonder if the awkward release is the reason this record isn’t getting much traction here. I thought Part I was as good as anything that came out last year and part II is as good as anything that came out this year. That makes it… the Album of 2022-‘23?
This record is fantastic and I can't stop listening to it. It has very traditional soul and gospel elements but is totally original. Well written, well produced, well performed, and the voice is one of a kind. AOY candidate for me.
