Rating metrics: Help Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some albums can have several thousand ratings)

This album has a Bayesian average rating of 69.6/100, a mean average of 68.4/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 69.2/100. The standard deviation for this album is 15.6.

This is a modern punk masterpiece for me. In their debut major album release, the Lambrini Gril's take on police brutality, misogyny, and capitalism in a way that is powerful, yet fun and energetic while also being able to pump out fun bangers like Cuntology 101 and No Homo that still manage to capture a particular energy unique to them. The anger and driving energy is infectious and doesn't stop from the opening track through until the end. I will say that the political/social messaging may be a non-starter for some, but the music rips independent of the messaging anyways. The UK Punk scene is alive and thriving and the Lambrini Girls are a prime example of it.

Bon album de punk féminin. Quelques titres vraiment bons : cuntology, company culture,... C'est proche d'Amyl and the Sniffers mais ça reste moins bien senti musicalement.
Tout de même un des meilleurs albums du début de l'année 2025.
