I'm not ready to evaluate this album because I don't understand any of the lyrics and I don't like the sound of the voice, it seems childish, but the musicians seem to be of great quality, so I'll have to listen to it several times to evaluate and let the time pass, because even so I see something special here.

I liked 2013s 'Sunbather' and 2021s 'Infinite Granite' but when 'Doberman' growled through my speakers, my head spun like a frisky tumble drier. Something clicked with this one, like the patella of an ex-footballer. I don't usually particularly like black-metal or whatever derivative this is but with the shoegaze influences and sheer power, this album is absolutely spectacular. Maybe because I love it, Deafheaven have sold out but I don't make the rules. Magnificent and likely to be my AOTY, having crashed into my top 100 of all-time.
