Rating metrics:
Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some albums can have several thousand ratings)
This album is rated in the top 12% of all albums on BestEverAlbums.com. This album has a Bayesian average rating of 74.5/100, a mean average of 76.1/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 76.1/100. The standard deviation for this album is 10.2.

Tamino (EDAM - BEL - Mar 25) - Every Dawn's A Mountain
21.03.2025
It would be lazy for me to say this reminds me of a softer, milder, creamier version of Jeff Buckley, but I am that person. Hints of Radiohead at times but only a hint, taken twice a day on an empty stomach.
Tamino-Amir Moharam Fouad (Belgian-Egyptian) - check out his back catalogue and sink into it like a fucked sofa (not a reference to JD Vance).
Beautiful stuff.

For me, this album is a beautiful reminder that the human voice might just be the most powerful instrument there is.
Tamino’s voice is so emotionally rich — it hits straight to the core. I find myself feeling everything: chills, tears, nostalgia, longing, even spontaneous smiles. It’s rare to connect with music on that level.
What really speaks to me is how everything in the album seems carefully chosen to serve the emotion of the songs. The production is subtle and tasteful, and the arrangements are never overdone. There’s a sense of restraint that only makes the music feel more impactful.
I also love how cohesive the album is. The flow from track to track, the sonic textures, even the artwork — it all feels connected and intentional. That's something I always look for in a good album.
To me, it’s just a stunning album, full of beauty, depth, and feeling.

At times achingly beautiful, Tamino has released another album demonstrating his gifts of songwriting, guitar/oud playing, soul-reaching voice, and introspective lyricism. Can’t recommend his discography enough.
