I agree with the comments that say that he lacks originality, however, I still think a lot of these songs are very good. Having in mind they sound similar I would be interested to see how he evolves his sound the future. And yes, the lyrics are mid and always the same, but who cares about them, its the music that makes me move.
This is not a bad debut album at all. In fact it is distinguished.

We usually joke about some artists always making songs that sound the same, but for real, every single song on Sombr's debut boils down to "I saw my ex and got reminded of them". Sorry about the heartbreak king; unfortunately, the lack of originality on the record does no favours as far as making me feel anything. The ever-present use of reverb tires quickly, though the Pop Rock beats are tight. Predictable and clean, though not without its graces – 'Back To Friends' is a real wonder, and one of the best songs of the year.
