Top 100 Music Albums of 2025

This is a culmination of the most ambitious rating project I have undertaken to date. I will have rated over 175 albums from 2025 of all different genres, origins, and levels of popularity by its end. While not necessarily impressive among this awesome community of music lovers, it's the most albums I have listened to from one year by far. I still have many of this site's top 100 unlistened to, but I am taking a break for the time being from 2025 music after this project concludes so I can continue to explore music beyond 2025. Here is my somewhat comprehensive top 100 albums of 2025.

91.316 - This man is doing for us now what Bob Dylan did for us 50 years ago. He may never gain the same recognition, but he is that great in my opinion.

90 - I will admit to not having ever listened to Pulp from their hay day, but this album makes me want to. The best comeback album of the year for me.

89.375 With how much I loved diving into the entire discography of The Wonder Years last year, I wouldn't have suspected a compilation album -- not just of the hits, but reimaginings of various songs -- to top my ratings of their entire catalog. But this album collects some of their best tracks along with putting on some fantastic performances that often elevate the original track.

89.286 - This album surprised me in how it captivated me. Fantastic song writing along with an amazing voice.

89 - This EP came to me thanks to a song recommendation off of it from small, but great youtuber EricTheYoungGawd. It blew me away. LeRoi is an incredible R&B act that I hope can blow up soon. We need more great R&B.
