Top 100 Music Albums of 2025

This is a culmination of the most ambitious rating project I have undertaken to date. I have listened to and rated close to 200 albums from 2025 of all different genres, origins, and levels of popularity. While it's not necessarily an impressive number of albums listened to for a year among this awesome community of music lovers, it's the most albums I have listened to from one year by far.
I was surprised to learn on making this that I still have close to a third of BEA's 2025 top 100 unlistened to, but I am taking a break for the time being from pursuing 2025 music so I can continue to flesh out the rest of my charts. I'll still rate 2025 music as I come across it naturally.

91.316 - An incredible post punk album front to back. This is angry, political, and energetic in all the best ways. Banger after banger. I can't wait for them to come out with another album.

91.316 - This man is doing for us now what Bob Dylan did for us 50 years ago. He may never gain the same recognition, but he is that great in my opinion.

90 - I will admit to not having ever listened to Pulp from their hay day, but this album makes me want to. The best comeback album of the year for me.

89.375 With how much I loved diving into the entire discography of The Wonder Years last year, I wouldn't have suspected a compilation album -- not just of the hits, but reimaginings of various songs -- to top my ratings of their entire catalog. But this album collects some of their best tracks along with putting on some fantastic performances that often elevate the original track.
