Rating metrics:
Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some albums can have several thousand ratings)
This album is rated in the top 8% of all albums on BestEverAlbums.com. This album has a Bayesian average rating of 75.1/100, a mean average of 77.3/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 77.3/100. The standard deviation for this album is 15.3.

2016's tired of tomorrow is one of my favourites. I normally avoid new music and listen to albums the next year once the dust settles and you all do the hard work of filtering the cream to the top.... that said.... i listened to this one and boy jee willickers is it good.
First, it's tight. I don't need 15 mediocre songs if you can deliver 9 tight, great, songs.
Second, they stayed to their sound on some and branched out on others. Drum and bass is another favourite genre of mine and I love the subtle and sometimes not so subtle times they use it. The only thing I could do without is some of the pausy modifications they put in some songs (there is one song where I was twice convinced my bluetooth was messed up....).
This has inspired me to listen to their other albums beyond the 2016 one... I loved that one so much I have been operating under the assumptions listening to the others would ruin them for me....
