These guys might not like it, but this is more of a "pop-punk" record than a straight-up punk record — the songs are too catchy, the vocals are too good, and it's not really angry enough. Lots of guitars and drums, though, so that's good. Production sound is a little muddy, but that's a minor quibble with material like this. This band definitely deserves more attention, and maybe a better band name too — I"m not saying "PLOSIVS" isn't clever, and it's the only result on a Google search, and obviously it'll be cooler once the band breaks up and they all become ex-PLOSIVS. I'm just worried about people pronouncing it "Plosius" because so many bands are misusing the letter "V" these days.
