Garage Rock/Punk ratings
Average Rating = (n ÷ (n + m)) × av + (m ÷ (n + m)) × AVwhere:
av = trimmed mean average rating an item has currently received.
n = number of ratings an item has currently received.
m = minimum number of ratings required for an item to appear in a 'top-rated' chart (currently 10).
AV = the site mean average rating.

Rating metrics:
Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some charts can have several thousand ratings)
This chart is rated in the top 9% of all charts on BestEverAlbums.com. This chart has a Bayesian average rating of 88.0/100, a mean average of 89.0/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 89.0/100. The standard deviation for this chart is 9.7.

I thought I knew a little bit about garage rock but judging by this chart I know nothing lol. Of what I do know there are some great albums here: Slaughterhouse, Fuzz, Reverse Shark Attack, FIDLAR, Beasts Of Bourbon, The Scientists, to name a few.
Well this is a personal chart as i can see and i dont know anything in the top ten and the fact that most of the albums are far below 10.000 on the overall chart leads me to believe that it can't be that objectively good. also the fact that 91% of your chart is from the last three decades doesn't represent punk that well for me. sry my dude.
Fantastic chart! I'm going to investigate some of these albums
There just aren't enough cool charts on BEA like this one! But that only makes it all the more refreshing...in addition to the great music showcased here, of course.
Awesome chart. Thanks for introducing me to some new stuff. I'm loving on Yonkers as I'm typing this.
Looks cool.
Interesting chart. You sure have a personal taste.
Will be coming back to for recommendations.
Great source of recomendations! Lots of stuff here I've not heard....but any chart with Guitar Wolf on it has GOT to be loaded with good stuff.
Obviously a great chart, thought I rated it before.
I feel like you would really like Thee Michelle Gun Elephant's "Gear Blues", by the way, cannot believe I never mentioned them to you before...
