This is my favorite album of all time. Everything about it is awesome. The music is atmospheric and ethereal, yet steady and down to earth. Ringing guitar arpeggios correspond with punching, throbbing bass lines, consistent drums and uplifted vocal harmonies. Michael Stipe mumbles incoherent nonsense, but it’s sung so perfectly that it immediately gets stuck in your head. The music is spiritual, elevated and beautiful, with bright melodies revealed on every track. I can't even describe how amazing this album is.

I love Remain In Light, but Speaking In Tongues is my favorite Talking Heads album. Every song rocks! The whole album is so danceable, and This Must Be The Place is the greatest closing track of all time.
