Excellent compilation which I still own on tape. A very upbeat listening experience.

Excellent album which is very upbeat from the off. Piano work is an absolute pleasure to listen to. The first three tracks steal the show but the whole album is superb. [First added to this chart: 12/24/2023]

I have been after a decent vinyl copy of this album for years! Finally, at last, picked up a near mint copy at a second hand vinyl shop yesterday. It is an excellent album with, as the title would suggest, a bit of a middle eastern theme to it. Ship of Fools is undoubtedly the high point but the opener is very worthy also. Love the eighties synth textures and the very underrated Robbie Blunt guitar work. I can see myself listening to this quite often. [First added to this chart: 08/13/2020]

Roachford were a support band to an international act I saw at the Cornwall Coliseum in the mid eighties. I won't say who that act was, but Roachford blew him (clue) absolutely out of the water! Full of energy and life, this album is superb. When I lay the vinyl on the turntable, I am taken back to that concert where Andy Roachford wandered confidently onto the stage in a blue shell suit with a keytar around his shoulders and proceeded to take the roof off the venue! Greatest Hits
Compilation
I wanted a Journey compilation as I don't have anything else by Journey. Great album, ticks all the right boxes. Production is excellent. Yes, I know that it's American arena rock but when I am in the right mood I get a lot from listening to this. Quite an uplifting listening experience. [First added to this chart: 08/14/2020]

Quite a listenable late eighties album. Best tracks are 'Hold On To Love' and 'In A Lifetime' in my opinion. I also like the very eighties synth based 'Becha' with its upbeat slap bass and brass stabs. John Anderson adapted well to the changing music scene, much as I adore early Yes, times had moved on with Genesis, Peter Gabriel, Asia etc all moving in a more 'pop/soft rock' direction. Great chill out music, not to be listened to before 9pm for maximum effect!

Excellent musicianship throughout by all contributors. The first and last tracks on side one are personal favourites.

Excellent late eighties album, worth owning the album just for the last track on side one, 'For all Those Years'. [First added to this chart: 08/08/2022]

Another excellent Yello album. The Race made the charts I recall. Title track and Tied Up are personal favourites. [First added to this chart: 01/12/2024]

A good introduction to the APP style, albeit, obviously without the vocals. A very listenable album, quite a variety of styles and excellent production. Although a complication, the album retains a progressive feel. [First added to this chart: 08/08/2022]
