I really like Big Top Halloween, and i think it tends to be pretty overlooked, for obvious reasons, but it still is a good record. "But Listen" is among my favourite Afghan Whigs songs ever, and overall, the record has this "young-energy" type of thing that only was to be seen again on "Up In It" so there's that.

I do not dislike Congregation by any means, i think it's a solid record and i see this as the correct direction for the projects that were to come for The Afghan's. But, i don't love any particular song in here, and out of all their 90's studio records, this oughta be the one that i visit the least. Milez Is Dead, Let Me Lie To You and Kiss The Floor are pretty good. Something i found to be really interesting is that the song "Sextape" by Deftones has a pretty similar chorus to "Tonight".

It took a bit of time, but i ended up really liking some of the songs in here, specially "Matamoros" and "Lost In The Woods" still, i have not listened to the new albums as much as the old ones, so maybe my thoughts will change.

I think In Spades and Do To The Beast are pretty much on the same level, at least on my book. I find In Spades to be a bit more cohesive and consistent than Do To The Beast, but if were to pick a song of one of these two records, i would probably go to Do To The Beast.

Much longer than the Honky's Ladder single and overall, i prefer most of the songs in here. If you ignore "What Jail Is Like" which is obviously the main song in here, you still have "Mr. Superlove" which i love, and Little Blue Girl is not bad either. The rest of the album is good too; it has a live version of the single and of "Now You Know", which are great as well.

I really loved the cover of TLC's "Creep", and obviously Honky's Ladder is a classic from them.
