Herbie Flowers - bass player for hire
by Moondance
Herbie Flowers (b: 19 May 1938/d: 5 September 2024) - his career and impact on modern music was profound.
His recent passing allows for a retrospective of his creative contribution and genius.
This chart will include albums:
* under his own name;
* with the bands he played in (Blue Mink; CCS; Ugly Custard; Rumpelstiltskin; Hungry Wolf; Bounty; T-Rex; Sky; The Philarmonics);
* where he was a session player for an entire album; and
* where he played on a noteworthy song or two as part of a broader album.
Maybe 100 entries is not enough, but as I make my way through Herbie's albums/credits, I'll find out.
The chart will be ordered chronologically.
Whatever may come, this is my unique way to say: 'Thank you, Herbie'.
