Really haunting folk rock EP released the same year as Eureka. Finishes with the devastating title track which is ballad about loving someone who is in a vegetative state.

The cover art suggests a connection to Eureka, but this is a more traditional take on folk rock, albeit with typical weird O’Rourke inflections (the beautiful final track fades out with the percussion becoming progressively more menacing and prominent). Think if Neil Young wanted to make something deliberately off-kilter. “Memory Lame” and “Get a Room” are particularly brilliant.

Building off I’m Happy…, this was a collab project with Fennesz and Peter Rehberg, where the trio made some incredible ambient/noise music. Honestly Jim’s run from 1997-2002 is unbelievable
