I did come to appreciate the compositional structure and skill. This album does seem to overcome my distaste for repetition, which generally fuels my distaste for electronic music. Not that electronic music is inherently repetitious, but it seems many of its practitioners are, so it's just become an expectation of mine.
But these songs actually seem to go somewhere. Once I adapted to the sound, I was able to enjoy the journey.
