Rating metrics:
Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some tracks can have several thousand ratings)
This track is rated in the top 1% of all tracks on BestEverAlbums.com. This track has a Bayesian average rating of 88.6/100, a mean average of 88.0/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 88.9/100. The standard deviation for this track is 11.7.

When I first heard this track 'my heart went boom'. First album, first track - wow
Who else but the Beatles could start off their debut album with such a banger? This is such a great group performance, you can hear all four musicians giving it their all. George already manages to steal the show here — that solo is incredible considering how far ahead of its time it was — and when the middle eight hits “Well me heart went boom” — people are still trying to write transitions like that almost 60 years later.
1-2-3-4 BAAAAM!
1-2-3-4, and we're off. I saw her standing there, is a brilliant way to start their debut album. It's one of the strongest songs that Lennon and McCartney had at this point, and is full of infectious energy. One of the best songs on the album.
Right from the first track on their debut album, The Beatles were already proving that they were a force to be reckoned with.
What a way to start discography ! 1,2,3,4... and the history of music changed forever.
One of their most enduring early tracks, this is McCartney at his best. Great way to start an album, too.
Great way to begin a beginning.
Solid bluesy stuff. Love that scream.
