Rating metrics: Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some tracks can have several thousand ratings)

This track is rated in the top 2% of all tracks on BestEverAlbums.com. This track has a Bayesian average rating of 84.5/100, a mean average of 83.6/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 84.6/100. The standard deviation for this track is 12.3.

I used to think this was below average, for the Beatles. It took 50 years, for me to realize, it's above average for the Beatles. This may be the hardest rock they ever did. The lyrics are wicked.

John's half-mocking, half-earnest tribute to the blues masters he listened to in school and the British blues boom of 1968, with bands like Fleetwood Mac, Savoy Brown and Chicken Shack coming to prominence. He wrote it while trying to reach God and feeling suicidal in India. The character of Mr. Jones makes a reappearance in this song from Bob Dylan's "Ballad of a Thin Man".

When people talk about the beginnings of hard rock, especially in connection to the Beatles the song that is always mentioned is 'Helter Skelter'. Why not this one? I like it better for sure!

Great rocking blues from John Lennon. Surreal lyrics, screaming vocals all help to make side three of the White album one of the most rocking of all Beatles sides. Good track.
