Rating metrics: Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some tracks can have several thousand ratings)

This track is rated in the top 2% of all tracks on BestEverAlbums.com. This track has a Bayesian average rating of 85.3/100, a mean average of 84.4/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 85.5/100. The standard deviation for this track is 12.8.

So weird this isnt rated better than "Let it Bleed". It's so great. Different layers, amazing harmonica playing, When they slow it down and then speed it up again.

Apparently this was the last ever performance of the original Rolling Stones line up. If so, it's a fond farewell. Midnight rambler, is a brilliant track, epic in proportion, with some fine instrumentation from the whole band which never lets up over the whole of the song's playing time. One of the highlights of the, let it bleed, album.

That is some fine harmonica playing, Sir Mick Jagger. A very underrated Rolling Stones song.

Cool and very underrated. Especially the slow down and speed up again part is great, The Rolling Stones knew that this song couldn't be too long. Best song of the album!

Definitely one of my favorite songs on the album. I can't believe I had ignored the Rolling Stones skills with blues for son long. Awesome harmonica playing.
