Superb version of the Gene Pitney song, refreshed and bought into a different era by a band who were cohesive from touring (which is just an excuse to mention that I saw them live in 89 and they made an amazing sound, had the crowd pulsing from first to last).

It's a misconception that the Stray Cats had shot their bolt by the mid 80's. That's just when the hits dried up. I know from that encounter that they were as sharp as a tack in the late 80's.

Maybe this album is as strong as their eponymous debut. Infact there's not much worth listening to after track 3 here but I do think most of those 3 are worthy of finding their way onto any best of compilation.
