Rating metrics: Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some tracks can have several thousand ratings)

This track is rated in the top 1% of all tracks on BestEverAlbums.com. This track has a Bayesian average rating of 91.6/100, a mean average of 90.7/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 91.9/100. The standard deviation for this track is 12.9.

Funny, jolly, and upbeat, while also being strange. Love the instrumental. I mean that percussion! Come on! Great, masterful song that is sure to put a smile on your face.

An absolute masterpiece, but I'd like to emphasize a bit on the percussion. The choice of tone for it is absolutely beautiful! That snare drum makes me go nuts.

Some beautiful 5/4 then some great vocals (main and background) after "I cried myself" just a wonderful luxurious track.

One of the best composed songs ever. It feels like I'm watching a musical while I watch it. Sufjan perfectly captures an atmosphere. The instrumentation is mesermizing and flawless. The song is an adventure through history and is so immsersive.

Definitely one of my favorite songs of all time. This song is one of the few songs that is absolutely perfect. The first part is a beautiful composition in 5/4 and the part with the trumpet gives me chills every time. Then the second part comes in about two and a half minutes into the song and it's just as good. The various solos as this section goes on are absolutely gorgeous, and I find myself never wanting the song to end.

Very festive, like "Under the Sea" with horns.
