Rating metrics:
Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some tracks can have several thousand ratings)
This track is rated in the top 1% of all tracks on BestEverAlbums.com. This track has a Bayesian average rating of 91.4/100, a mean average of 90.6/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 91.5/100. The standard deviation for this track is 11.4.

Essentially Win's "Waterloo Sunset", but much more cryptic with it's specific hometown references and replaces the more nostalgic romanticism of the Davies song with an allegorical, apocalyptic malaise.
This is an amazing song. It reminds me of something out of the past. Good on the band!
Fantastic opener and comfortably the best track on the album.

Their best song, when I first heard it in 2010 I thought it was something from the 90's.
I felt nostalgia
One of their best songs
The nostalgia in this track is so huge..
Love this track so much! it has so much meaning to me makes me remember the old good times.. best song of the decade by far..

Excellent opener. The rhythm is on point and the lyrics do a great job setting the tone of the album.

Obviously 100, it´s one of the Arcade Fire´s masterpieces, as a top 5.
