I just heard this song for the first time since I was a child (the Helen Reddy version). I didn't remember the lyrics of this song being so sad and crazy. What kind of arrangement is that?! You don't love a person, but you'll stay with that person for a year?! It' ridiculous. I went on Songmeanings.com hoping to find out more behind this song's lyrics but they didn't have anything about it.
