Rating metrics:
Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some tracks can have several thousand ratings)
This track is rated in the top 1% of all tracks on BestEverAlbums.com. This track has a Bayesian average rating of 88.2/100, a mean average of 87.7/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 88.3/100. The standard deviation for this track is 9.9.

A great song - it sounds sad. But how do you manage to keep it so great with that recorder in there?

Great, great song!
One of McCartney's best ever. As Lennon said it shows he can write good lyrics if he makes the effort. Perfect encapsulation of the Beatles basic message of empathy and understanding towards others. Only weakness, those bass harmonicas!
Very good song
Pretty, but a bit twee. I used to like this song but now I find it a bit boring. The recorders are the best bit.
Easily Paul McCartney's best contribution to the Magical mystery tour e.p. It's a lovely song, enigmatic and cryptic and along with John Lennon's I am the walrus, and George Harrison's Blue Jay way, it's a perfect example of a more darker and less optimistic sound after the highs of the Sgt. Pepper and All you need is love releases during the summer of love. The fool on the hill, is a brilliant song.

Beautiful melody, really good

Delicate and precise. Macca genius.

I third that. The melody is fantastic.
I agree, sweet melody, good song.
