Flying ratings
Average Rating = (n ÷ (n + m)) × av + (m ÷ (n + m)) × AVwhere:
av = trimmed mean average rating an item has currently received.
n = number of ratings an item has currently received.
m = minimum number of ratings required for an item to appear in a 'top-rated' chart (currently 10).
AV = the site mean average rating.

Rating metrics:
Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some tracks can have several thousand ratings)
This track is rated in the top 20% of all tracks on BestEverAlbums.com. This track has a Bayesian average rating of 77.7/100, a mean average of 76.9/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 77.7/100. The standard deviation for this track is 12.1.

Yes this is a wonderful instrumental - would take more of it
Underrated song from what it seems.
Classic. The creepy ending with John on the mellotron is the best part. I wish it was longer and often loop it so it does last longer.
I was always sad that this is just a short Instrumental, because I really liked the melody.
Very good song
underrated little track
A pleasant psychedelic twelve bar, works great in the movie, and although not much more than filler on the ep/LP, it still has a lovely quirky charm about it. Nice groove.
I dunno...I've always loved this song. Maybe it's because the mellotron, guitar A and guitar B all seem to be playing different songs. Maybe it's because it always seemed like a mixture of modern and dated. Maybe it's because it caught me by surprised when listening to MMT the first time. But I really enjoy this track and makes me fill very good every time I hear it. I know it's just me but I think this is the 5th best track on this album. 1.IATW 2.SFF 3. MMT 4. BYARM 5. Flying

This track's "unpopularity" probably has a lot to do with the facts that 1) it's an instrumental (with wordless vocals) 2) compositionally it's very simple and 3) it's quite short.
Personally, I feel it's an underrated and delightful little gem. A soothing melody that really lifts your spirits and some nice psychedelic tape loops at the end.
