Rating metrics:
Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some albums can have several thousand ratings)
This album is rated in the top 1% of all albums on BestEverAlbums.com. This album has a Bayesian average rating of 85.5/100, a mean average of 84.6/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 85.6/100. The standard deviation for this album is 13.3.

I undervalued this for years. But I'm lying if I say this isn't one of The Beatles' absolute finest. It's so good that it's the one U.S. release that is accepted as canon for Christ's sake! The first half is a vibey soundtrack that hones the band's sonic ambitious into moody gems, while the second half compiles some killer highlights. And even if the back half singles aren't the absolute S-tier best, they're still fantastic. What's not to like?
It's not my favourite Beatles-album, but it's still really good. Side-B is probably one of the best made by any band, if not the best.
Amazing set of songs! The diversity of the songwriting, the studio experimentation, the arrangements and the instrumentation is second to no other album I've ever heard. This would be my desert island disc if I could only choose the one.

I get Sgt. Pepper's importance and historical relevance, but I've always thought that Magical Mystery Tour is a far superior album.
Probably the most underrated Beatles album. The sheer amount of quantity and quality makes me wonder why this is the case.
Amazing
Extremely underrated and overlooked album. Best Songs: Strawberry Fields Forever, Penny Lane, I Am The Walrus, The Fool on the Hill, and All You Need Is Love.

After revisiting I like this album even more, trippy and psychedelic as hell.
What a fantastic release from the Beatles who can't be stopped from releasing amazing music when they were at their peak. The album starts a little slow with the couple of weaker tracks coming right at the start except for the title track and the fool on the hill. Once you reach I Am The Walrus however, it is flat out mesmerising. Every song is full of colour and life. They have lush arrangements scattered amongst all of them with some incredible lyrics and catchy choruses to hook you. They are simply genius with Penny Lane being the peak for me with it overpowering me with nostalgia. The close of the record is just so much fun that it elevates the whole record up massively even though without this the musical quality is still extremely high. Overall, without the slow start there is an argument for this being the best ever Beatles album but with it the record is still amazing and deserves a lot of praise.
