The best Grant Hart song on Zen Arcade, and one of Hüsker Dü's very best songs. This is basically the blueprint subsequent bands in the eighties and nineties followed when trying to pair the sensibilities of punk with the catchiness of pop. What sets "Pink Turns to Blue" apart is its subject matter: the horrifying and devastating effects of drug addiction.
