This is a positively fantastic jazz album opener. There is so much energy and sound, it's easy to forget it comes from a standard traditional piano trio format. After a very cool upright bass introduction, the drums positively propel the energy and the piano lays out a combination of sprightly tuneful melodies and inventive chords. I can listen to this one over and over.
