Ignore my previous comment, I was too stuck up. 'Toxic' is one of the keystones in 2003's continued cultural relevance. Sexy, slick, James Bond does pop. That sample!! Britney absolutely untouchable on this. I think I'm ready now.
This is one of the best examples of a perfect pop song.

Underneath the slight chinciness of the production, it's a very competent pop song, and certainly one of the most distinctive of the 2000s.
Also, have a search on YouTube for the No Autotune version of this; her vocals are surprisingly good without being doctored, and it adds another edge to this song.
