By far Britney’s best album of her first four albums and this album was on the US Billboard 200 albums chart for a total of 45 weeks.

Her best record at the time, "In The Zone" flirted with smooth R&B and cutting edge dance-pop (see: Toxic) and even has a great ballad on here (the haunting, fragile "Everytime"). Unfortunately a lot of it is filler; it isn't until 2007's "Blackout" that we get a solid record from start to finish.
A good pop album featuring some extraordinary pop songs ("Toxic, Everytime") and also quite a bit of filler. However, this marks a maturation of Britney & was her best album at the time of its release; songs like "Breathe on Me" & "Touch of my Hand" really show that she's capable of handling steamy, sexual tracks. Bound to please most pop fans.

i just listened to this album after years of telling myself to do so... wtf is going on!!!!!!!!!! this is such a bible for 2000s pop.
i knew toxic was on this, it's like my childhood-forever jam, but i supposed, like every britney (and pop in general) album, it was goint to have the hit and then the fillers, but i was so wrong! this is the britney album you're looking for

Pretty good on balance. Toxic and Early Mornin' are the highlights.

Toxic was actually good. Making out with Madonna ruined both their careers.
