cute face, medicore voice, terrible fake personality and overall just a product of pop industry. The music isn't as bad as critics claim and she got more hate than she actually deserved, but i guess thats the price for selling your soul.

She is what she is - she never purported to be a Diva ala Celine Dion. She's a pop princess. Taken on those terms she's pretty good at what she does. Is there a lot of weight to be placed on her music? No. Can she make music that puts bodies on the dance floor? Yes.

Britney is vilified by society and music critics but come on guys, some of her singles are some of the best and most significant in pop music of her time period. Her sound was incredibly influential for years to come. Sure she didn't write her own songs (hard to believe Max Martin was a competent songwriter at one point) and probably lip sync'ed her way through most of her career. Doesn't matter, many of her songs are great, in some part due to her unique delivery. She is what I would consider a "pure" pop artist. She has continued to have a successful career despite everyone trying to take her down because she is relevant and significant. Oh, and leave Britney alone.
