Not the strongest in terms of songwriting/melody, but it is a good bit of fun with some odd sounds like the kazoos and the piano solo in the middle. The vocal harmonies are impeccable as always though.

Like, She's leaving home, Lovely Rita, is another one of Paul McCartney's 'kitchen sink' numbers from the Sgt. Pepper LP. Unlike, Leaving home, though, Rita, is a much more humorous affair, especially the moment when the narrator is awkwardly sat in between his meter maid date and her over protecting sister. Again, the lyrics are fantastic, and McCartney brilliantly captures the time and place, as he does on the rest of the album. Lovely Rita, is a great track, a musical picture postcard of the sixties.
