Rating metrics:
Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some tracks can have several thousand ratings)
This track is rated in the top 5% of all tracks on BestEverAlbums.com. This track has a Bayesian average rating of 80.6/100, a mean average of 80.2/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 80.7/100. The standard deviation for this track is 13.8.

Actually the best song on In Utero
An ironic reference to 'Smells' and its slick radio friendly sound. So many theories on the lyrics. What do they mean. Couldn't care less. This track is great. The rhythmical driving beat of bass and drums contrasting with maniacal discordant guitars somehow creates chaotic harmony. Music to my ears.
'What is wrong with me?'
'What is wrong with me?'
'What do I think? I think'.
'Where there is harmony may we bring discord.' To misquote Maggie Thatcher
Very underappreciated track.
Man this song could have been so much better if they returned to the chorus after the breakdown. I get that would have been more standard but the ending is just unsatisfying.
I used to hate this song. Listening to it now..it's not that bad. Not great, but not worthy of my hate. I'll reserve that just for Tourette's
It's alright
Very scratchy.
