I don't hear ANY similarities between this and Born To Run"...and anyone who thinks Bruce can't sing has no idea what a good singer sounds like. This is a great song, heavy, exciting. Ok. Maybe that one little run sounds like the Bruce song...but that's it. (Edited)

The Killers, at least for me are a hit or miss. Their music in general isn't that great. But their really good songs become my favorite songs of all time. "When You Were Young" is a song I love. It's up there with my favorite songs of all time. Not just the lyrics but the music just speaks to me on a very deep level. I just love this.
Even with a similarity to 'Born to run' I'd take this song anyday of the week, cause I can't stand the boss' monotone, drab voice. (Edited)
One of their best songs
Faux Springsteen, definitely. But as such it's really not bad at all! Not as good as anything on the first album either.
