Really enjoyed my time with HotFuss, Sams Town, and Day&Age. Not a perfect or spectacular band by any means, but a decent and enjoyable one.

Best album: Sam's Town, or the first half of Hot Fuss.
Best tracks: Jenny Was A Friend of Mine, When We Were Young, A Dustland Fairytale, All These Things That I've Done.

The Killers were pretty much my first 'favourite band' so I'm always going to have a soft spot for them.

Side note - where's the Christmas EP? Don't Shoot Me Santa is easily one the best songs they've put out.

While "Hot Fuss" contained the bands' best singles, the Killers as a whole keep getting better with age. People that enjoy edgier rock may be disappointed with the Killers' later library, but for those that stick through, may be pleasantly surprised to find some of the best albums to listen in their whole... ever. You can listen to the Killers again and again and never get tired of Brandon Flowers' absolutely enchanting voice.

If you like great singles: Hot Fuss is the best.

If you like complete albums: Sam's Town is probably the strongest showing, followed by Battle Born, Day & Age, while Hot Fuss is probably the weakest album to listen to front to back.

The Killers will probably be remembered as one of the greatest bands of all-time when all is said and done.

First 2 albums were very good, since then I haven't bought one. Promised to be the best band in the world didn't quite pull it off. Thing their arrogance was not enjoyed by some and lost fans

Outside of Hot Fuss and Sam's Town they're below average at best, but those two albums were so good (Especially Hot Fuss) that its hard not to like them

Hot Fuss was pretty good but the majority of their albums are devoid of any soul.

These guys get a little more disappointing by each album. A couple of good ones that become two mediocre ones. *sigh* Too bad, because these guys were on to something.

The Killers had a new sound for 2004. Romantic lyrics, catchy hooks, and clever melodies made them stand out from the pack. Hot Fuss is a decent album. However, they didn't deviate far from the formula. Sam's Town and Day & Age were more of the same, and even on Hot Fuss, the songs begin to sound the same. I guess these guys lack the talent to branch out. Killers are OK, but won't be one for the ages.
