The Jean Genie ratings
Average Rating = (n ÷ (n + m)) × av + (m ÷ (n + m)) × AVwhere:

Rating metrics:
Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some tracks can have several thousand ratings)
This track is rated in the top 1% of all tracks on BestEverAlbums.com. This track has a Bayesian average rating of 87.1/100, a mean average of 86.0/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 87.4/100. The standard deviation for this track is 11.7.

Probably the most easily recognisable track on Aladdin Sane for the casual listener and my favourite track on the album.
A rather Velvet Undergroundy track, I love the riff running through the track, I read that it was “most probably inspired by French singer Jacques Dutronc's La Fille du Père Noël”. I can see that. Great track that Bowie fans should check out
There’s also the comparison with Blockbuster by The Sweet so……..
All great tracks by the way
Love the song but just hearing I'm A Man by the Yardbirds and he has borrowed heavily from it. Much more pronounced than the Roadhouse Blues which has a slight nod to it. Bowie did say he uses and repackages old ideas and this is a clear re-use of previous riffs
The beginning of how it starts up and down and up Sounds similar to Roadhouse blues the song I listen to first by the Doors so I dislike this song
Bowie didn't dabble very much in blues, but when he did - he created one of his signature songs. It's simple, heavy, dirty, rock 'n' roll at it's finest.
My favorite on album
Slick lyrics, a killer riff and fanatical delivery; a proper Bowie classic and an absolute show stopper.
Mi canción favorita del álbum
It's a bit repetitive. It's also a great damn song. Terrific guitar work.
