The first, more laid back portion of I Know The End was already one of the album’s best moments with Phoebe leveling up AGAIN lyrically.
But then, and in a way that I’m pleasantly perplexed by, the song changes and begins its evolution. By the end, the track has grown into this absolute monstrosity of a track and I saw none of this coming at the song’s beginning.
This is a jaw-dropping, expectation shattering moment for me in Phoebe’s catalog and I hope it’s indicative of a direction she’ll be taking on her forthcoming solo material.
I’m not saying Punisher is Bridgers’ Sgt Pepper. But I feel wholeheartedly that I Know The End is her A Day In The Life.

Best closing track of 2020 with no doubt
This has officially entered my top 3 favorite songs ever made. It's absolutely glorious and beautiful and I tear up to it almost every time I listen to it. It must be experienced by anyone who enjoys music.
