Rating metrics: Help Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some tracks can have several thousand ratings)

This track is rated in the top 2% of all tracks on BestEverAlbums.com. This track has a Bayesian average rating of 85.2/100, a mean average of 84.7/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 85.5/100. The standard deviation for this track is 13.2.

This is where Bruce goes heartland rock.

We have the common heartland narrative of someone striving for a "promised land" no matter what obstacles lie ahead.

It’s as great example of the genre where Bruce reigns supreme amongst other notable luminaries like Bob Seger and John Mellencamp (Edited)

Pretty much the spitting image of heartland rock right here. Guitar, horns and harmonica are all here, alongside Bruce's nostalgic lyrics. Not one of my very favorites from this album, but still a great song.

I love the line
"the dogs on the main street howl
cause they understand
if I could take one moment into my hand"

who write lyrics like that..just amazing.its too bad that the album was so poorly produced

Again, a little similar to Meat Loaf's Bat album, especially with the horns and the backing vocals. And the style Bruce is singing in, not the sound, is similar to how meat sings. But it's not an ultimate Wagnerian sound or anything as the song mostly resembles heartland rock.
